Help,
All of our bone marrow bxs are fixed in B5 and I need a good IHC for
megakaryocytes. I have tried CD61 from DAKO however the data sheet states
that it does not work with mercury based fixatives. I have gotten it to work
a few times, however it is not consistent at all. I believe it has to do
with the length of time it is B5 (just guessing). I tried CD41 also from
DAKO because it did not list that it would not work with mercury based
fixatives. I have not been able to get the CD41 to stain megakaryocytes at
all. If anyone has any luck with either antibody with B5, please let me
know.
