STATE WORKSHOPS

From:Lee & Peggy Wenk

For those planning your state meetings, or trying to decide
how to help your state members:

NSH and some of the HT School Program Directors have
put together a workshop (mostly Glenda Hoye) to help
people prepare for the HT/HTL exams, especially those
with the high school degree that need to pass before
January 2005. It is an all day workshop.

Your state could offer this during a state meeting, or could
offer it any Saturday, to help your members.

NSH has funds to help pay for sending a Program Director,
though they do have requirements that must be met. (Cost,
advertising, etc.) This would be ideal for states with a
budget crunch. Contact NSH for more information.

However, if your state wants to fund the entire cost of flying
in a speaker, you do not have to accept the NSH funding.

Or, you could find a company that is willing to sponsor
(i.e., pay) for flying the speaker in.

No, the program directors are NOT getting paid for this. We
would just like having the plane costs covered, as well as
hotel and meals, taxi, etc.

Please be willing to be flexible. The Program Directors have
to fit this into their schedule, too.

Contact either the NSH office (301-262-6221) or at
histo@nsh.org
or Glenda Hoye ghoye@iupui.edu for more information.
