Re: CAP Today 9-2001

From:Lee & Peggy Wenk

Finally, a lead coverstory by CAP on histotechs! It's about how
bad the job shortage is, why it got that way, and some ideas of
what different people are doing about it, none of which are going
to be easy or a quick fix.

For those of you on Histonet, you will recognize some of the names.
And now you can put faces to those names with the photos.

Use this as information to get salary increases, justification for
expanding the search for histotechs, or starting/keeping a
HT/HTL school.

If you can't find a copy, it is on the CAP webpage, but without the
photos and the quote boxes.

If that doesn't work, try

http://www.cap.org/html/publications/captoday.html
and click on the Sept 2001 coverstory "In Histology Labs,
Backs Against the Wall"

If that doesn't work, try

http://www.cap.org
then put the cursor over "In the News" and click on "CAP Today"
when it pops up. Then click on the Sept 2001 coverstory
"In Histology Labs, Backs Against the Wall."

(Disclaimer, if needed - I'm quoted in the article.)
