RE: Movat's pentachrome stain of methyl methacrylate sections
Gina,
I regularly do Movats but on heart tissue, not MMA. But one of the dyes you
named is Safran du Gatinais. Poly Scientific (800-832-5869) sells a kit for
Movats, cat #k042.They also sell it alone in a 1%,2%,3%,3.5%,and a 6%
solution. I use a 0.6% solution but as I said that is on tissue not MMA
which usually needs a higher concentration of dye.I cannot help you with the
Brilliant-Crocein R because I use Crocein scarlet Moo (Woodstain scarlet)
solution.Hope this helps..oh Sarfran is very expensive.
