RE: Leder Stain

From:Bert Dotson

Leder is just one particular method for alpha-naphthol chloroacetate
esterase using an azotized pararosaniline for demonstration. There are
indeed a number of methods and kits available to accomplish the same
objective.

Hi all,
I have a pathologist who is asking for a Leder Stain. I was doing
some
research and found the procedure in some older references, but noticed it
wasn't in some of the newer ones. I also looked in Bryan Llewellyn's web
page and did not see it. I can't help but think that there are newer
stains
or IHC procedures that demonstrate the same thing. Any suggestions? Thanks
in advance for your help.
