RE: Amoeba?
Amoebae stain up really nicely with PAS stain but you can also
demonstrate them well with Heidenhains iron haematoxylin. I don't know of a
method that is specific for amoeba alone unless there is an antibody
available that would enable you to demonstrate them immunohistochemically.
