CD34 stains fibroblasts

From:Jeff Silverman

CD34 is supoposed to stain interstitial fibroblasts in human tissue. This is
specific staining and cannot be eliminated. CD31 (platelet endothelial cell
adhesion molecule) is a more specific endothelial marker. CD31 does not
stain fibroblasts but it recently was found to stain tissue macrophages,
some of which can be dendritic and fibroblast-shaped. By the way, in my
experience, no antigen retreival is necessary using (at least the QBend
clone of) CD34.
