    Be careful of reagent deals. Make sure that if you decide to change
an
antibody that you can without getting gouged on the price. This includes
the
detection kit. try to find an instrument that you can use any detection
kit you
want. Versatility should be key. You should be able, 6 months down the
road to
say "GEE brand X has a better quality or price than brand Y" That's
commercialism.
    I have found DAKO and Biogenex to be very versatile. There may be
others,
but those stuck out to me the most in this respect.
