Re: Proliferation in rat

From:John Bliss <bliss@zymed.com>

Dear Kenneth:

BrdU is a highly specific and sensitive marker for cell proliferation-however,
you need to introduce the BrdU labeling reagent into the rat before it is
sacrificed.

PCNA is one of the original cell proliferation markers and the PC10 clone
antibody works in almost every species including rat.

Zymed has antibodies to both BrdU and PCNA, and also BrdU and PCNA kits that
are designed to work in tissue from any species. Please contact our Swedish
distributor for more information. Thank you.

Regards,

John Bliss
