RE: Steven E Slap - microwave oven

From:Jim at ProSciTech <jim@proscitech.com>

I apologize unreservedly to Steven E Slap. I had questioned that he may not
have shown his affiliation or declared a commercial interest. Apparently he no
longer is with EBS (I guess that he had been running that company for about 20
years) and he no longer sells microwave ovens. So he certainly is entitled to
give his opinion without a disclaimer or/ and showing an affiliation.
I thank the couple of people who set the record straight. I also note that the
quality of Stevens posting was never at issue. The principle I espoused is
everybody's right to know of a contributors commercial interest and this is
part of this listservers rules.
Therefore I do not at all understand the posting with the subject "Act
professionally". It seems that writer was not aware that Steven no longer is in
the microwave business. It appears that he would rather "shoot the messenger".
Apparently that man believes that interested parties should be able to post
without disclaimer or affiliation. Rather an untenable and unprofessional point
of view.
Cheers
Jim Darley
