freezing tissue
From: | "Instrumedics, Inc." <info@instrumedics.com> |
We addressed the freezing of tissue for minimal ice-crystal growth and
finally came up with the Gentle-Jane snap freezing device, where a
chrome-plated , weighty heat extractor with a mirror- finish is immersed in
liquid nitrogen and equilibrates to the temperature of LN2 ,
-196deg C. The heat extractor on the Gentle Jane falls at a controlled rate
and contacts the tissue, which is located on of the CryoGel embedding
medium, first.
