Non-specific immuno staining
From: | "Nocito, Joseph" <joseph_nocito@srhc.iwhs.org> |
Hey all,
don't you just love Friday 13th that has a full moon? I begging for help.
I ran a set of immunos on a fine-needle aspirate from the adrenal area
(could be adrenal, could be kidney, could be liver). It was fixed in
formalin. The first run of immnos, I noticed the negative control was
reacting. I called the pathologost and he told me it could be any of the
above mentioned organs. I recut the block and performed an avidin-biotin
block. Guess what? Yep, negative control was staining again. The
avidin-biotin blocking kit is new. Any thoughts on this? I don't, my two
synapses are exhausted, it's tough keeping them going. Thanks for your help
and have a good, safe weekend
