Chloroform explosion - part II

From:Mike Kirby <mikek@mail.saimr.wits.ac.za>

Hi All.

Many thanks for all the replies to our chloroform explosion problem. The
acetone and the vapour pressure theories are probably the most feasable
explanations. What I forgot to mention was the fact that the brown bottle in
question was the original one that the chloroform was supplied.
In the mean time we have gone back to good old xylene and at a later date,
we will change over to a suitable substitute.
