We have been using our tissue section controls in our immunocytochemistry
stains performed on cytology samples (cytospins., smears etc.) We would
prefer to use control slides of known positives for these assays that were
fixed and prepared in the same manner as our patient material.

I would appreciate hearing from those who have experience with long term
storage of cytospins to learn of any pitfalls or protocols that should be
followed to provide the best IHC outcome. Thanks.
