Hello,

We've found that some antibodies, CD31, cytokeratins, etc work very well on
alcohol fixed tissue. There is no need for any heat induced epitope
retrieval as may be the case for formalin fixed tissue. The morphology is
very good and the immuno staining is excellent. When we've worked with
cytospins a 50/50 combination of acetone and methanol has proven to be a
very good fix and doesn't require any special pretreatments for antibodies
such as EGFR.
