Slap,
Noooooo, I haven't tried microwave processing with the Alcohol/Xylene
method.  First it would have to be done in a fume hood, as the production
of alcohol and xylene fumes would be significant.  Also,it would be hard
not to boil the dehydrating solution, which wouldn't do the tissues much
good.  The method is designed to be used as a routine processing method,
(replacing current techniques) on modern tissue processors, where large
volumes of tissues, of all types and sizes, are to be routinely processed.
