I see this message repeatedly on the histonet and I think the histonet
should try to help people attempting to subscribe by giving them the
following information.  The problem lies in their own system.  I had this
problem myself and it seems to be in systems with windows 98 and higher.  To
fix the attachment dilemma do the following.  Click on Tools on the toolbar,
then click on Options, then select the Send tab.  Then select to send
messages in plain text.

The default is in html format which puts all messages in attachment format
but the user doesn't know their mail is going out in this manner.  It would
end the frustration of users trying to subscribe since their response is
"But I'm not sending any attachments."  But of course this goes out in an
attachment!!!!!!
