A procedure based in dermatopathology, done on skin, frozen sections while
patient is under local, to see if margins and surgical site are deep enough
and wide enough to be clear of cancer. It prevents subsequent surgeries,
allows plastic surgeons to do repair immediately, allows patient to walk away
resonably sure they are free from cancer, works a histotech hard and pays
pretty well.
