     Rats and mice have a small hump of brown fat just under the skin,
     between the scapulae. Mice have it as early as 3 weeks, but I don't
     know if pinkies have it 'cause we don't use those.

 Does  anyone  know where(anatomically) and  when(?age)  to  find   brown
adipose  tissue in  rodents????????????
