Hi everyone

I agree entirely with the comments re cleanliness and freshness with
regard to this method. I would go one stage further though. The stock
solutions need to be made fresh as well. Also make sure that only
distilled water is used before Perls solution, washing off in distilled
water before then washing in tap water. There may be iron contamination
in tap water.

Lovely method, one of the oldest true histochemical procedures, when its
works.
