Title:      Applications Specialist
Location:   Deerfield, Illinois

Job Responsibilities:
… Provide product and applications phone and in-field support to customers,
sales reps and Dealers on histology and ultramicrotomy product lines
… Conduct routine histology and EM sample processing in Leica's Customer
Support Laboratory
… Support industrial applications for products
… Serve as technical liaison to Customer Service/Field Service/Product
Management departments
… Support national and local trade shows
… Develop and distribute routine communications and correspondence
… Contribute to the development and distribution of Technical Bulletins
… Collaborate on development of marketing materials such as advertisements,
brochures and direct mail pieces
… Develop product user manuals
… Build and maintain applications database
… Implement customer training programs
… Provide Quality Control testing of products for service depot

Qualifications and Experience:
… Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field
… Minimum 2 years experience in Histology and/or Ultramicrotomy
… Supervisory experience preferred
… Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet programs
