Hi Kathy,
we do this BB- Stain (Berliner Blau = Prussian Blue) routinely in liver and
spleen.
You should have some iron in spleen. Having no iron in liver can be Ok.
You can demonstrate iron down to o,oo2um with this procedure.
Make sure your origin of 2% kaliumferrocyanide and 2% HCL (1:1)was fresh
made.
It's only stable for 30 min.
