Marilyn,

EM Science has a substitute called Neo-clear which can be purchased through
most distributors
( catalog # 65351-85)I have a study performed in Europe by Merck on it and
would be glad to send it to you. It is odorless. The only drawback is that
you can't use it in the Sakura coverslipper.

For coverslipping you would need to use it's companion, Neo-mount ( catalog
# 65038/71.)

If you would like me to send you information and a sample, e-mail me or
call me at 800-222-0342x443.

Subject: Xylene Substitute

Looking for suggestions on an ODORLESS xylene substitute. Please let me
know
what mounting medium you use with your substitute. I have received too
many complaints about the orange peel scent of Histo-clear.
Thank you
