Hello Pam,

	Since you are using an alcoholic eosin try dipping the basket back
into either 95 or 80% dehydrant before going into the Eosin stain.  I use
the last 95% in the deparaffinizing series for approximately 30 seconds,
then on into the Eosin with a couple of dips for dispersing the stain
evenly over the slide surface.  Never any patchy staining problems.
