There is most definitely a chance of getting HIV while cutting frozens if you
cut yourself. One should always assume every patient has HIV or Hepatitis,
plus you should wear a mask in case of TB. I went almost 20 yrs. with out a
cut, then 3 yrs. ago I cut myself very deeply while cleaning the cryostat. Yes
I had gloves on, but I still was tested etc. You also might have just a paper
cut or hang nail.
