is this in paraffin or frozen?  i used to have a terrible time quenching
endo. perox. in rodent tissues.  i went looking for an alternative to h2o2
and found a protocol combining glucose and glucose oxidase (effectively
making your own h2o2).  it worked great....i used it mostly on frozen tissue
though.  it's very gentle and much less destructive than h2o2 and methanol.
i do have the reference at the moment but i could dig it up if anyone's
interested.
