RE: [Histonet] intra cellular calcium

From:"Monfils, Paul"

The Von Kossa technique stains solid deposits of calcium salts. While
hypercalcaemia is common in patients undergoing treatment for tuberculosis,
resulting in elevated serum and cytoplasmic calcium levels, this is calcium
in solution, which would not stain with Von Kossa. I' m not aware of any
kind of intracellular calcium deposits that could be demonstrated with Von
Kossa?
