Re: [Histonet] Santa Cruz anti-CD31

From:Angela McNabola

I do know what your talking about...I think I might have been the one who
originally posted the first note.

I placed a call to the person at SC who I had been discussing this with, just
this past week. They were out of the office until I believe yesterday, so the
plan is to give him a call today. We have several lots of the CD31that is are
not working in IHC.

The new goat's antibody, I have been told, will work in westerns, but not in
FFPE tissues. I hope that they get it corrected quickly, it has become, for us,
one of our routine IHC's in mouse xenografts.

I'll post a note if I hear anything further.

Has there been any advancements in knowledge on whether Santa Cruz
has produced a CD31 from the new goat or whatnot that works in IHC? I
know there was some trouble as the animal was no longer producing
batches that were good for IHC and someone mentioned that they were
going to come out with something new/more reliable late this year?

Anyone know what I am talking about?
