DAPI on paraffin embedded tissue.

From:Michelle McDonald

DAPI on paraffin embedded tissue.

Dear all,

I am interested in looking at nuclear morphology in paraffin embedded sections of bone tissue. I have heard that DAPI staining produces fluorescent blue staining of nuclear material and clearly demonstrates morphology, I am however finding it difficult to locate infornation on its use on paraffin tissue sections.  I hope to use this method on my sections to analyse areas of ostenecrosis. If anyone has any protocols or recomendations on this topic I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thank you in advance

Michelle
