Is anybody doing any sort of embryo staining which allows for easy visualization of somites?  We're looking for a technique (not ISH or IHC) that will allow for easier counting of somites (in chick), hopefully that is compatible with prior or subsequent ISH techniques.  Does such a thing exist for whole embryos?
