Carnoy's fluid is a fixative, not a drug.

It is very easy.
Ethanol 60 ml
Chloroform 30 ml
Acetic acid 10 ml
Fix by immersion, 4 to 18 hours. Short time for
small specimens, overnight for bigger ones.
Transfer to either 100% alcohol to proceed with
processing into paraffin, or 70% alcohol if
specimens must be held for a few days before
processing and embedding.
