RE: sleep depravation

From:Rose Richardson

'Tis true that it is getting more difficult to be fully functional in
the AM! Could it be that aging disrupts that good old sleep center in
the brain? The one that binds with the caffeine molecule that is.

With my job in research I don't have to do any swing shift work, but
what might be worse is that I am on call for autopsies every other
week. My boss is trying to have short post mortum intervals, which
looks good to funding agencies ( well and yes it does make for better
biochemical studies too). If it is the middle of the night, we are
paged, good thing I have a support system now with my husband, there
are times before we were married that I have driven back home in a
fog.
