RE: Unstained Slide IHC Preservation

From:"Dawson, Glen"

Histonetters,

I have a pathologist who wishes to preserve some unstained slides for future
Immunohistochemical analysis. The blocks must be returned so all he has to
work with is unstained. He estimates that it may be upwards of 10 years
before the IHC would be done on these slides and would like to know the best
way to preserve the desired antigens on the slides. I have done IHC on 10
year old blocks but never on such old unstained slides. Any suggestion on
the best way to preserve these slides would be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you in Advance,

Glen A. Dawson BS, HT & IHC (ASCP)
