Those recycling Formaldehyde, Please Reply

From:Vinnie Della Speranza

I would appreciate hearing from those currently recycling formaldehyde.

Have you determined the concentration of formaldehyde in your waste BEFORE recycling and if so, what is it typically?

What is your recovery rate ? for example, if you were to load 5 gallons of waste into your instrument, how much 10% formalin would you get back?

Do you experience any differences between the formalin poured off from specimens and that removed from tissue processors?

we are presently demonstrating a formaldehyde recycler, our first venture into this area. We are uncertain if our experience is typical or unusual. We seem to get less back than we anticipated (or hoped for), which may suggest that our waste formalin is less concentrated than we thought.

appreciate any and all advice or feedback.
thanks
