Hi all,
I am looking for information for the use of bar codes in histo.Does anyone
know if they can be printed directly onto cassettes using one of the
automated cassette writers?I would be interested to hear from anyone
utilising bar codes from accessioning,cut-up,embedding,trimming,section
cutting,staining through to special stains,immuno and final reporting.We are
in the process of getting a new computer system and would like an audit
trial for each block and be able to follow who performed each of the
procedures the tissue went through. This would allow us to identify at what
point in the system the case would be without having to resort to daily logs
and matching blocks to slides.
