I work with veterinary samples but if I have something especially fatty I
fix in NBF for a couple hours bread loaf the specimen and hold in an
alcoholic formal in mix [I use pen-Fix]. The alcoholic formal in clears the
fat and grossing is easier and specimen is better fixed.
