Freezing paraffin sections before IHC
Hi Histonetters,
I have recently read an article that described sectioning paraffin
embedded blocks and drying in an oven as normal (40 degrees C), but
then freezing the sections overnight at -20 degrees C before
immunohistochemical staining the next day. The antigen in question
was CD11b.
I hoping someone may be able to shed some light on what the freezing
step achieves.
Thank you in advance for your help.
