RE: help for IHc stains on whole mount embryos

From:Patsy.Ruegg@UCHSC.edu

I am sure the problem is that you are using anti-mouse reagents on mouse
tissue. anti-mouse IgG will bind to any mouse IgG in the tissue, not just
the primary antibody. You should try some of the commercial mouse on mouse
detection systems or switch to polyclonal primary antibodies. What
antibodies are you trying to label for?

One problem would be that he is using a mouse primary on
mouse tissue. Since the secondary is directed against mouse.....it should
be expected that the secondary will stick to nearly everything. Try
recommending one of the commercially available kits specifically for this
type if IHC. Both Dako and Zymed have them.
		Good luck,
