destaining crystal violet

I would like to destain some cells grown on a polycarbonate membrane
stained with crystal violet. I then need to do a morphology stain (eg
H&E??). Anyone have any experience with destaining crystal violet, staining
on polycarbonate membrane? thanks for any and all input.
