Linda, No I did not go to Sunquest class. That is part of the problem. So
far, I have been teaching everything to myself. I am sure that there are a
number of things that it can do that I am just not aware of.
As far as encoding is concerned, I was not intending on activating the
autoencoder for the mere fact that my Pathologists are not cooperating at
this point with standardizing their dictations. I was just going to have my
Transcriptionists encode prior to finalizing the reports. I was going to
draw up a reference sheet of the codes that I want them to use (as generic
as possible at this point).
I am trying to utilize SQ for my Cytology Q.A. and my Frozen Section
Q.M. I think I have found a way, however, I am not sure whether I am doing
it the BEST way. Your ideas for autoencoding sound great, and hopefully we
can get to that point, but for now (and who knows how much longer) the paths
do not want to standardize.
