It seems to me that one of the things that makes the Histonet work is the
camaraderie that has developed over the years.  While the primary purpose of
this server is to create an open forum to for the exchange of information
about "Histology" we all bring our personalities to those exchanges - even
if we never ask a question or write a reply.  And if the exchanges don't
always have to do with "histological topics" is what we have to say any less
valuable to the others on the Histonet?

It seems to me that the "human" exchanges are part of what creates the
environment of sharing.  All too often the "professional" persona can kick
in and we become protective of what we know because it makes us special.
The willingness to share is thwarted by our need to be perceived as
"experts" or our fear of being perceived as wrong.  By sharing laughs and
embarassments and human moments from time to time we help perpetuate the
sharing environment that this server thrives on.  So instead of asking
people not to respond, not to share what they know or feel and to always be
"professional"  - lighten up and use the delete button.
