Hi Paula,
We receive our marrows and trephines in 'Marrow Fixative' (
Sodium sulphate 120gm ; distilled water 1270ml ; formaldehyde 400ml ;
acetic acid 330ml ) . The trephines we transfer to buff. formalin for 1
- 2 hours and then decal in Formol Citrate ( usually overnight ) and
process as normal. The marrow aspirates, and clots, we 'pour' into
biopsy bags ( from Shandon ) and throw in with the routine 'stuff'.

Hello Histonetters!
Just a quick query - how is everyone handling their bone marrow biopsies
and
bone marrow aspirates? Any responses would be greatly appreciated!
THANK
YOU!
