Kathy:

We purchased a Leica CV5000 and had it adapted to fit the racks from our
Sakura DRS. I had done a poll as you are doing on the Histonet and had
favorable reviews on the Leica. Our demo worked beautifully but the one we
purchased had a factory defect that it took months to correct. (They
finally sent us a new machine!) Anyway, we are content with the replacement
machine. We have a few air bubbles and it requires a bit of daily
maintenance but I would recommend it if you must have one that uses glass
coverslips.

Subject: Automatic Coverslippers

Dear Histonetters,

We have done demos on several different coverslippers. We would like to
have some other opinions before we make our final decision. It must use
glass coverslips and be able to use our Sakura DRS staining
racks(preferably).

If you use a (glass) automatic coverslipper please share your
experiences with us:

Which instrument do you have?
Why did you choose that particular instrument?
What kind of problems (if any) have you had with it?
Does it meet your expectations or do you wish you had made another
choice?

Thank You in advance for your responses!
