I think there may be solution to the toe nail problem that Pamela raised. The Instrumedics Tape-Transfer systems for frozen and/or paraffin sections may just be the answer. With this technology the section is laminated to an adhesive -coated slide. The adhesive is rapidly polymerized to a hard solvent-resistant plastic and the section is bonded to the plastic layer. People cutting bone and other hard tissue have been very pleased with this system precisely because there is no loss of section during the staining protocol, no matter how rigorous. For more info please contact us and we would be happy to send you more details. Also please visit our web site www.instrumedics.com for a view of complete product line!
