Dr. Miyagishima,
We use a Microm Cryostat and have no problems. It is a reliable, and
efficient piece of equipment. New, it will cost between $10,000 and
$15,000. However, you may want to contact Pam Plumlee at @paw555@yahoo.com
for information on the 3 year old Microm cryostat her lab is selling. As
far as disposable blades go, Accu-Edge have proven time and again to be the
best, however they are usually about $90 per pack of 50. Dura-Edge are a
close second and sell for about $55 per pack of 50 through StatLabs
(1-800-442-3573 ext.14). I hope this helps.
