The CPT code you should be using is 88164. If you have any medicare
patients however there is an additional code depending upon whether the
smear is diagnostic or for screening. Basically, P3000 for screening
(Medicare pays this only once every 3 years), and 88164 for a diagnostic pap
smear. Thanks.
