Levels and Serials:

This is a standard of practice issue and is up to the
discretion of the Pathologist.  In a community lab.
where Pathology is functioning in a "screening"
capacity one section per slide may be fine, while in a
tertiary (expert) center 15 slides each with 4 serials at
one level, staining every third and saving the rest,
may be the standard.

Getting a group of Pathologists to agree to a common
standard of practice will require difficult compromises
on their part.
