Christie:
  Put the tape with the section back over the slide. Place a glass coverslip on top held with a paper clip. Immerse the whole thing in acetone. Hopefully the plastic will dissolve leaving the tissue between the glass coverslip and the slide. Eliminate the acetone by capillarity with xylene and in the same way add the coverslipping medium. Work as gentle as you can. I have done it!
