I think it's important for us all to remember that formaldehyde is a carcinogen, and that we are not (all) MDs. Therefore the anecdotal stories here could be very dangerous for someone out there, if it means they'll throw caution to the wind. Please don't do what all us "old-timers" have done. Safety has come a long way in Histology, let's all remember how important our bodies are.
