Atoska,
I wouldn't recommend flushing anything contaminated with CJD down the 
drain. I don't think the public health officials would be too happy 
about that. CJD contaminated materials (ALL solids and liquids) need 
to be properly disposed of and incinerated for a longer time period 
than ordinary waste. I also use disposable everything on these 
cases--forceps, dishes, containers for processing and staining, etc.
